Global Women Procurement Professionals
GWPP brings together women and men who refuse to accept the status quo in procurement. Its mission is to attract, retain, and grow women in current and future roles across procurement, sourcing, and supply chain.
GWPP was born from Michael Shaw's observation that two women in procurement living five miles apart did not know each other. Recognizing a critical need for connection, he approached Amanda to help bring the idea to life through her industry network.
The first GWPP event was held in San Francisco in March 2020. Shortly after, the pandemic required a pivot to virtual gatherings.
Today, GWPP serves as an active platform for information exchange, discussion forums, and a unified voice for women in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain. We bring together both women and men who refuse to accept the status quo, united by a mission to attract, retain, and grow female talent in current and future leadership roles.
